You’ve Got To Read This Book!

I admire Jack Canfield, the co-author of ‘Chicken Soup for The Soul’ series books. He has to his credit a number of other books as well.

But the one you’ve got to read is:

‘You’ve Got To Read This Book’. (Co-authored by Gay Hendricks.)

Yes, the title of the book IS that. And, you’ve got to read this book!

In this book 55 rich, famous & influential people talk about the point in their lives when they read a book & it changed their life, for better – forever. The book gives insight into these people’s lives. They were nobodies at the time. Like you and me. But, consider, a book changing lives.

Think about it, books changing lives! Ever thought about that? Can a book change someone’s life? Has it changed yours, yet?

Simple books like ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ have helped changed the course of people’s lives. Plain ordinary people, trying to cope with every day ‘problems of LIFE’. One book, and poof…You are a changed person.

Books are like people, I might despise someone that you love (Well..I am different though, I like everyone!). It also depends how receptive one is to a new concepts or thoughts. Most of the times we go through books as if we HAVE to read the book. If we only knew the power of books and how it could change lives.

I recommend a brilliant blog in which you will find short summaries of some of the best selling titles in the world. You could go through these summaries & buy a book (at old books stores!) if you find something that interests you.

I tried stopping myself from quoting Mark Twain, but couldn’t:

“The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them.”

The fact that you are reading this means you are a reader. So, this quote is not for you.

I’d like to know about you, has it happened with you? Did reading a book ever affected you? Changed the way you think about something? Changed your life? If so, then please share in the comments section below.

Have a remarkable life.

Dare to dream!

Follow you passion.

  1. Thanks Marzia. Apologies for a very late reply.  This one seemed to have slipped.
I am happy that you are growing in all aspects of your life. Reading does this to us.
    God bless you, always.

  2. True! I feel reading a book broadens your vision! I can’t name any single book that changed my life but i can credit all the books that i have read for what i am today and what i will be tomorrow 🙂

    1. Thanks for your apt comments, Mr Danial Shah.

Yes, books have the power to influence and change us and our perceptions.
One of my gurus, Mr Kamran Rizvi says, “Being able to read books, especially about great people who inspire you, is like inviting them to your house for a cup of tea. And you can listen to them talking to you about their life, passion, shortcomings & sharing their wisdom.”
And all of this for almost nothing.

The internet is full of free downloadable ebooks and bestsellers.

You can always listen to audiobooks, instead of songs! Well… I know how people feel about that!

Share and exchange books with your friends and family.

Buy books at old books stores and exchange them with another title when you are done with it. Hardly costs anything.

Try and read book summaries. There are blogs which could help. One such blog is . Try it, you wont regret it!

      Thanks once again.

      God bless you, always.

    1. Mehdi, thanks for your comments. One can be motivated by anything. Books help a lot, but so do people, videos, blogs and everything from which you could derive wisdom from.
The more important part is to be able to change one’s self, after being exposed to wisdom.
      God bless you.
